New Moon in Full New Moon in Full is a series of exhibitions by NÓW. New Craft Poland. showcasing a selection of the most interesting works of its members. This year marks the 6th anniversary of the exhibition

Over the past years the landscape of Polish craft has changed greatly. It matured. Professional galleries appeared, and the term collectible design and the term collectible design has entered common use. collectible designDiscussions about collectible design, in which fine handcrafts play an integral role, involve the perspective of the viewer, buyer or collector. Such an approach concentrates on the surface-level merits of a work of craft: its aesthetic appeal, its utility or its investment value. This year New Moon in Full looks deep beneath these surface layers. What is behind a work of craft? What is the work imbued with? What motivates the craftsman beyond a market demand or user requirement? New moon in Full invites the viewer to explore this collection as a record of thinking and doing, of fearless creativity – not simply as a collection of objects. It is an exhibition of relationships between creator and material, between creator and tradition – it is a space for both self-expression and cooperation. -

KOOPERACJE (literally: Cooperations) showcases the fruits of a collaborative project between six craft duos. The aim was to foster partnerships between makers working with different mediums: wood and metal, wood and glass, ceramics and textiles, and paper and textiles. Traditionally, in the field of fine craft, objects are created from a single material in which the craftsman specializes. When multiple materials are combined, one usually dominates while the other serves a subordinate role. In KOOPERACJE, this hierarchy is dissolved: the collaborators bring their materials together on equal terms. The project leverages the unique potential of association, bringing together creators with diverse specializations to create a space for a genuine dialogue between crafts and craftsmen. The impact of this collaboration extends far beyond the tangible results. KOOPERACJE offers a new encounter with craft, providing fresh insights into collaboration, introducing new materials and techniques, exploring their limitations, and revealing the limitless potential of cross-disciplinary craftsmanship.

The works in the KOOPERACJE exhibition were created thanks tosupported financially by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage as part of the Center for the Development of Creative Industries’ program: Creative Sectors Development.
