The Michelangelo Foundation for Creativity and Craftsmanship is an international non-profit organization that celebrates and protects master craftsmanship and strengthens the connections between craft and design. The foundation aims to help people rediscover the ability of the human hand to create and support those who do it best: exceptional contemporary European master craftsmen who use long-standing traditions, skills and knowledge to create beautiful objects of lasting value. The name comes from the organization's patron Michelangelo, a visionary artist and master craftsman who embodies creativity and craftsmanship at the highest level of excellence.
