In creating a series of wooden collection objects that can function as mirrors, Anna Bera seeks a specific mode of existence of objects in space.
The latest project in the OBJECT series is an over two-and-a-half-metre mirror that looks as if someone has accidentally leaned it against a wall; it reflects an indeterminate solidity through a form that cannot be encapsulated in a finite shape. This object exists in space in a monumental, heavy and ostentatious way. It appears suddenly and without justification, but its existence is undeniable.
