Barbara Stelmachowska

Designer, ceramics, researcher. Doctor of Fine Arts.
Graduate of the University of Arts in Poznań and the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław.
In recent years, she has focused on working with ceramic materials. She creates speculative designs, experiments with 3D printing in ceramics, and develops her own porcelain casting techniques. She explores issues related to sustainable and socially engaged design.
Finalist of the international makeme! competition, winner of the Haier Design Prize by IF competition. Curator of the Craft Lab 3d project and the planT exhibition (Gdynia Design Days 2021).
She mastered her ceramic skills under the guidance of Marek Cecuła at Ćmielów Design Studio, at the Manufactory studio in Berlin, and during a masterclass with John Colbeck at La Meridiana in Tuscany.
