Product description

OWCA is the result of the Green Yarns Lab research project, in which we aimed to create highly tactile interior fabrics using plant-dyed yarns. The colours were obtained by dyeing yarn with plants such as chamomile, nettle, cabbage, apple leaves, apple peels, sandalwood and black mallow. The project was presented during the final of the make me! competition at the Łódź Design Festival 2021.

Execution technique

materiał tkany i farbowany ręcznie
Dominika and Julia began experimenting with traditional weaving during their studies. Their first joint project was Green Yarns Lab, the goal of which was to design highly tactile textiles from natural yarns, dyed using plants. In 2020, it was presented to the public during the make me! competition final at the Łódź Design Festival. Their refusal to contribute to waste has led them to embark upon RESTKI, a project to develop a material with which interior objects could be produced, made from leftover yarn. Currently REST collaborates with The Good Living Co.
