Olga Milczyńska
Graduate of, among others, the Ceramics Department of the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and the University of the Arts in Poznań. She gained practical experience in ceramic studios in the United Kingdom, France, Denmark, and South Korea.
She has lectured at the School of Form and collaborated with the Pottery Centre in Medynia Głogowska. She has participated in numerous national and international exhibitions, including Dutch Design Week,Indonesia Contemporary Ceramic Biennale, Poland Pavilion at Expo 2025, Kansai, among others.
Becoming a ceramist is a constant learning, about the material but also about my predecessors and their products. My practice is based on reliable craftsmanship, regular repetition of activities, understanding the properties of the material and using this knowledge in my daily work.
The idea for work comes slowly. First, I observe, read and listen. This is how I collect information and then use it to build my own statement. I like to construct dishes in my hands, combine smaller elements, use the plasticity of clay, experiment with proportions and color. I’m happy to create my work anew every time.
